Jor the mceipt of your letter of the 6th October, No 43017/ 1915, transmitting copies of despatches from the Governor i of Hong Kong relative to the possibility of claims against the assets of liquidated enemy firms being sub- mitted in certain circumstances by the Hong Kong Branch of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank.
In reply I am to state, for the information of the Secretary of State, that the Board are dispo sea to think that the Hong Kong Branch of the Bark would have an equitable claim for reimbursement in such cases as those
y suggested in the Governor's despatch.
